Full Description

1979?: Two possible Roman pottery lamps found in garden at TM 2608 4943 (S1).
1985: TM 2610 4938 Pottery sherds found in building an extension (S1). Comprise the base and part of body of small wheel thrown vessel in brownish- red fabric with fine (gold?) mica and fine white (grog?) inclusions, incised horizontal double cordon at maximum girth (approximately 6.5cm diameter) and some trimming of exterior lower part. Probably (?) Rom, may be Saxon import? NGRs need checking as both appear to relate to 34 Grundisburgh Road. These separate finds are both unusual and may relate to the coptic flask - see Sax. Formerly recorded as WBG Misc and WBG 023(CRN 07364).
