Full Description
2017: Evaluation trenching revealed the presence of a possible quarry pit, dated to the Roman period or later, however this feature possibly cut through the subsoil deposits. A small finds assemblage comprised a crumb of possible prehistoric pottery, two probable struck flints, CBM fragments, including a fragment of tegula and a small number of metal finds, including an undated lead loom weight as well as some metal clothes buttons (S1).
