Full Description
Three pits to the north of the compartment. One in the west side of the compartment is c.2m deep by 10m diameter, near ride on north side of compartment, within tree belt on 1836, 1884 and 1904 maps. Two pits in the east side of the compartment are c. 3m deep, 10 m diameter and are adjoining (S1).

Four pits and a possible small section of bank, of a probable modern date, are seen as earthworks on aerial photographs and visualised lidar data (S2-S3). The earthworks most likely relate to modern forestry features or drainage and are visible on recent (2007) aerial photographs and on visualised lidar data. The pits were previously recorded from field visits (see above). The monument polygon has been amended to correlate with the position of the feature on the visualised lidar data.
