Full Description
October 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A possible Bronze Age ring ditch is seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The ring ditch is most likely Bronze Age in date and most likely relates to a former Bronze Age barrow. The barrow mound may still survive as a very low earthwork on the visualised lidar data (S3); however, this may just be a natural rise in the landscape. The mound has not been mapped due to the uncertainty of this feature. The ring ditch is approximately 200m to the south east of an earthwork scheduled barrow (CUL 003) and is in close proximity to the alignment of a Roman road to the south (WSW 069).
