Monument record IKL 342 - An area undated earthwork ridges

Please read our .

Summary

An area of possible low ridges, of an unknown date, are seen as earthworks on visualised lidar data. It is possible that these ridges may have related to an area of possible medieval to post medieval ridge and furrow, post medieval or modern tree planting or other modern forestry features. The low ridges are approximately north west- south east aligned and are similar to further possible undated ridges approximately 200m to the east (WSW 202). A number of earthwork post medieval boundary banks (including IKL 159) can be seen on the visualised lidar data in amongst the ridges; however the boundary banks have not been mapped as they are mapped in good detail on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
