September 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Possible Second World War embanked pits are seen as earthworks (which have subsequently been levelled) on aerial photographs. The features consist of a group of four embanked pits which most likely relate to Second World War training features. However it is possible that the features could also relate to: Second World War forestry activity related to Culford camp to the west (WRW 032), 20th century forestry or 20th century or First World War military training features. The embanked pits are levelled by the 1950s and were in close proximity to further possible Second World War features to the south east (WRW 083).
