Full Description

Bronze tanged knife. Found in field with a metal detector, circa two inches deep, by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), 1979. Also listed as from Ipswich - see IPS 234. Ribbed blade, single rivet hole in middle of tang. Point missing. Surviving length (from sketch) 6.7cm (? originally 8cm), tang 2.5cm long, maximum width at shoulder 2.2cm (S1).
Similar knife in LBA hoard from Eaton, Norwich (R1).
