Monument record TUN 005 - Small mound, 10.5m in diameter and under 50cm in height, possible round barrow.

Please read our .

Summary

The site of a small mound, possibly a barrow, has been identified on the ground. The earthworks of this previously recorded mound and/or barrow and another three possible mounds are visible on the Lidar 2m DTM imagery. Two of the mounds are more well-defined and appear to be defined by ditches. The identification of at least one of these mounds on the ground would suggest that they may relate to archaeologically significant mounds. However it must be noted that many of the small mounds visible on the Lidar are most likely to relate to recent clearance mounds.
