Full Description

Archaeological evaluation revealed remains of Prehistoric activity including a possible ring ditch or barrow located in the south area of the site. Two structures of unknown function were revealed in the northern part of the site; one was dated to the Roman period and the other was of probably of Medieval date. Many undated pit-like and linear features can be interpreted as remains of modern activity, including elements of a field system. Finds recovered from the site include significant amounts of worked flint, post-medieval and modern material recovered from the topsoil. This indicates dispersion resulting from plough truncation S1).
