Full Description

Rectangular moat around presumed site of Med manor house enclosing area 200 by 150 feet. Occupied - Wood Hall stands in SE corner. Moat overgrown with dense undergrowth, some standing water (S1).
Two complete and two incomplete arms shown on OS map. Isolated, close to parish boundary. Scheduled area excludes Wood Hall and SE corner of moat (destroyed).
1991: In industrial estate. Moat overgrown, silted up. One arm cut off by new road. Two houses within moat boarded up, adjacent barn just outside moat becoming derelict (S2). Adjacent barn as shown on Brewers Map 1714, also Dovecote to south outside moat (S3). Large house, brickwalls, dovecot, barn & shed shown on Brewer's map of 1714.
1995: rapid earthwork survey - details in (S4, in parish file).
