Glass and pottery vessels containing cremations found March 1823 (R1); nearby skeletons and coins of Hadrian and Vespasian. Found "300 yards from the Stour". Found by workmen digging for gravel at a depth of 6ft from surface. The vessel and urn stood at a distance of 2ft from each other, and the former was covered by a patera reversed as a lid. It had contained calcined bones. Both urns appeared to have held ashes (AD 117-38) (S1-S4). Probably LMD 009, 012 area.
