Full Description

Cremation urn, encrusted type (? collared), 11 inches high, found inverted over ashes of child. Found 1843 near N bank of river Stour "halfway between the pool in Parsons Piece and the hedge to the S". In a quarry, now backfilled (S1)(R1)(R2)(R3).
Formerly in Sudbury Museum, now lost.
Marked as 'Roman Urn' on OS 6 inch map.
