January 1880: `An amphora of globular form deprived of neck and handles, within which were two fragments of statuettes of pipeclay ("and some score or so of iron nails" (S3)),both representing a nude type of goddess Venus, was found in draining the Glebe Farm' (S3)(R1). Full Description
January 1880: `An amphora of globular form deprived of neck and handles, within which were two fragments of statuettes of pipeclay ("and some score or so of iron nails" (S3), both representing a nude type of goddess Venus, was found in draining the Glebe Farm' (S3)(R1). ` A fragment of one of these statuettes and the amphora are in the museum, Bury St Edmunds' (S4).
No 'Glebe Farm' is named on the OS 1st edition 1" or 1:2500 maps. Location needs checking (Tithe Apportionment)(S6).
