Full Description

1957: "Erosion in bank of stream caused exposure of section containing at 2ft 6in, sherds of Romano-British pottery with fragments of pumice quern, and at 4ft 6in sherds of Belgic pottery with bones of horse, sheep and dog. Rom sherds also occur on surface of adjacent land". Report by A R Edwardson, Moyses Hall Museum (S1).
Edwardson records findspot as TL 835 525 (S1) but marks it at TL 8326 5273 on record map (S2).
Two kilns and stokehole reported on stream bank, and pottery under glasshouses. Further features recorded in nursery (S3).
