Full Description
Human remains and flint footings found during excavations for the footings of a new house, Little Mead, circa 1980. A sherd of Thetford ware also found retained by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Possibly connected with the site of Shotford Chapel (see MDM 008 CRN 00684). Human remains are also said to have been found by the entrance of the Sir Alfred Munnings Public House during the installation of mains drainage in 1973.
