Full Description
Low round mound, possible round barrow, marked on first edition OS 6 inch map and on 1957 edition (S2)(S3). Now has a very dense cover of relatively young trees and measures approximately 18m in diameter and has a height of circa 1.2m (S1).
November 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The mound described above is visible on Lidar imagery (S4). It is possible that this is the same mound recorded by the NMR slightly to the east as TM 34 NE 16. This is one of several possible mounds visible in the vicinity on Lidar, two of which (See SHER CSA 049 and CSA 050) have been recorded with great caution due to the fact that they may be anomalies in the data or possible vegetation mounds.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 4th November 2015.
