Quadrilobate strap-union or harness mount of bronze with yellow and red 'enamel' inlays.
Gifts to the Institute's Museum, 1856: 'Portion of an enamelled horse trapping, found at Norton - from the Rev Dr Dicken' (R1).
Mid C1 AD in date, an exclusively Southern British type and primarily E Anglian in distribution (R4).
