Full Description

Pottery scatters and a pit noticed during field drain trenching. Pit at circa (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) partially excavated. Probable pottery kiln debris ('dome plates'), much pottery and animal bone found. For full details see excavation archive (S1).
Coin, Faustina II (AD 160- 175), worn (S1).
1995: Metal detecting finds by(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) who reports main area of pottery (details in S2) etc being W of a hollow/pond/pit? circa 50ft across on W side of Blue Bells plantation. Detector finds listed as C2(?) enamelled disc brooch - details and sketch in file (S2), 49 Rom coins, fragments of bronze slag (?date)(S2).
