Full Description
Scatter of Rom sherds. Found E of High Lodge (S1).
?Same as finds from Carter (& A E Rayner?) Collections (formerly with Forestry Commission, now SAU) from High Lodge. Includes Large shell tempered storage vessel urn, Nene Valley sherds, including mortaria, amphora handle and several iron fragments. Also 2 iron knives including knife hilt listed (S2).
October 1991: fieldwalked following light cultivation - no sign of Rom site at this location - misprovenance? Only finds of pottery were 2 sherds Preh flint tempered - see STN 029 Preh.
