Full Description

Fine tapered flint axehead with blade and part body polished. Length 19.2 cms, blade width 4.9 cms, maximum thickness 2.1 cms. Colour 10YR 6/6 brownish yellow mainly, but varying from 2.5Y 7/6 yellow to 2.5Y 4/2 dark greyish brown (according to Munsell soil colour charts). Drawing in Parish File. Found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), circa 1975, on ploughed field surface (S1). See also bronze spearhead tips, shale bead, pottery and Neo & BA flint work from adjoining field (BRD 022).
Formerly in Brandon, now in Lakenheath parish.
