Full Description
1985: Scatter of pottery sherds found in area 10 metres square: three hollowed C12 rims, one C13 square rim, 20 unglazed Med sherds, one Med base, one Med unglazed handle, one Med sherd with splash of glaze, one dish rim, one finger-tipped base.
This site is close to WLW 34 and they, together with WLW 36 & 37 appear to lie within the area of Cranmer Green as bounded by WLW 8, 9, 16, 22-33, 38- 40, 70-72 and 80.
Not recorded in 1577 Field Book (S1).
TM 016 712: C13 bronze buckle plate, small bronze seal matrix with hexagonal handle bearing the word STANTON above a barrel (a `tun'), C14, and a fragment of bronze vessel (S2).
