Full Description

Scatter of pottery from field surface. Ploughed circa 1975 for first time in recent years. One sherd Ipswich ware base. Two rim sherds and ? one body sherd LSax, Thetford type ware. Also one sherd shelly , ? St Neots type ware and one organic tempered sherd, ? ESax (S1)(S2).
Also bone pin beater, 12cms long, found in plough soil in `beet field by stream' (S3). Seen by CP, circa 1979/1980, believed to come from either field on which this site is situated or one of fields to E (see FRK 038 Sax).
Early 1996: ESax(?) tweezers metal detected (S4).
