Full Description

Polished flint axe. Light grey-brown flint (with fossil inclusions), stained reddish brown. Weight 1.04kg. Battered sides. Little sign of wear on blade. Found by Albert Glockling, farm foreman, whilst digging a hole through peat into gravel, near a reservoir. Found at a depth of 8-12 feet (S1).
