Monument record HRK 008 - Vale Farm

Linear field boundaries and trackway, spread over large area N (HRK 014) and S of Lower Farm, TM 189 361. Intersecting field boundaries, with long trackway to the E, including a short length running SSE (S1)(S2). See also HRK 014 adjacent.
A number of possible linear field boundaries and trackways of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, centred on TM 18823568 to the north of Vale Farm in Harkstead parish. The trackways are defined by parallel ditches and do not appear to be related to each other. The trackway running north-south at TM 18893569 may be a continuation of the trackway recorded in HBK 018 which possibly runs through the subcircular enclosure to the south-west of Vale Farm (HBK 029). The linear feature at TM 18783562 may also be a continuation of this site. (S2-S5) NB (S1) was not available at the time the cropmarks were transcribed. (S6)
