Full Description

Gold quarter stater, unidentified type, found metal detecting (S1). Obv: series of squiggly lines, arcs and a ring, rev: horse to right, 3 pellets above, one below, possible small ring ornament and ? behind horse.
1989: Site due to be covered by tipped subsoil from Long Melford bypass - planning application in file.
