Full Description

Tip of bronze basal looped spearhead. Old break. Lozenge sectioned blade mid-rib with concave keeling to blade edge bevel. Length 7.9 cms (S1). Rowlands group II basal looped spearhead of late MBA (S2). Found by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) in November 1978 with a metal detector at base of ploughsoil. Spearhead impression reputed to have been preserved in top of underlying peat (?subsoil)(S1).

Found in same field as rapier and dirk, MNL 086 and other MBA metalwork finds, pottery, worked flint and animal bones.
