Full Description

1988: Site visit to holiday complex development located concentrated scatter of worked flints and 1 flint gritted potsherd in soil (relatively disturbed by afforestation activities) above natural sand with natural flints overlying chalk. On edge of excavated pit, circa 6m deep for boating lake (S1).

Flints very crude with heavy flaking possibly Late Bronze Age or Iron Age ?

Two further flints, one also crude, found in similar situation to South East Just North East of inhumation, ELV 011. (Essentially the same site).
