Full Description

Copper flat tanged dagger. Good condition. Slight edge bevel. Drooping shoulders and tang narrowing towards top. Length 30.1 cms, maximum width 6.3 cms, maximum thickness 0.3 cms. Longest known British flat tanged dagger dating to beginning of British EBA. Found by Mr Ronald Brown early in 1942 on ploughsoil surface. Blade bent in two places (?by agricultural machinery) on discovery, but since straightened with no visible ill-effects (S1)(S2)(S3).
Found in same field as skeleton ploughed up in circa 1920, LKH 090. For another copper flat tanged dagger, see CLARE 013.
