Full Description
Pre 1897: Palaeolithic `implements' recorded by Evans from `a lower level on the slope of the hill (Maidscross Hill, LKH 036) towards the fens, and close to the main street of Lakenheath' (S1, S2).
Possibly the sameame as (?Acheulean) hand-axe in Pitt Rivers Museum.
Suggests site separate to LKH 036. The location description fits the limited details as finds from "the Chalk Pit" (LKH 542), suggesting this is a duplicate.
Formerly recorded as LKH MISC
