Full Description

"Romano-British pottery at site I (as marked on sketch map by Victor Scott), this includes grass tempered (? date), grey, black & red ware and rims, bases & body sherds are all represented" (S1).
Although Rom rim forms are apparent it would appear a non-Roman element is present in this pottery eg, the "grass tempered" reference and the "Red ware" drawn in fig 7, both suggest non-Roman material.
Roman ditch filled with domestic debris (S2).
