Full Description
1980-1988: Fragments of BA metalwork, flint arrowheads & various worked flint, found during excavation of BRD 018. Small find 2324, context 9007/ 59002, (unstratified) - bronze blade tip, probably from rapier of LMBA or possibly from tip of LBA sword.
Small find 8523, context 1205, (unstratified). Bronze arrowhead or small spearhead tip, probably broken in antiquity. Very small for spearhead, could be socketed bronze arrowhead (cf Wetheringsett WCB 015) although tip very worn/reworked, hilt end of blade also ?reworked. Also possible mark where hilt of arrowshaft evident on outside of socket on one side - probably BA spearhead reworked into arrowhead at later(?) date(S1).
