Full Description

LBA sword. Bent (not recently) at an angle of 38 degrees. Hilt incomplete, top half broken off (not recently), two complete & one partial rivet holes survive, with one rivet. Part of ricasso notches. Surviving length 57.5 cms, blade 52 cms long, bent 43 cms from tip. Found (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) with a metal detector `only a few inches deep' on bank of Little Ouse, 4 paces from bank and 33 paces from eastern field boundary. Probably dredged from river. Halstatt C influenced Ewart Park type of C7 BC (S1)(S2)(S3)(S4).
Note further sword to NW - BRD 050, bronze tracer/awl and fragment of sword to S - BRD 007 BA, and bronze ring headed pin & ribbed bracelet to E - BRD 042.
