Full Description

January 1980: Rom pottery scatter found on edge of ploughed field adjacent to meadow (which is said to contain large lumps of chalk)(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), includes Samian (1 sherd), Nene Valley (4 sherds), grey ware (8 sherds), carinated ?Belgic derived (1 sherd), very micaceous sherds (16) and not very micaceous sherds (30). Also PMed tiles (S1).
November 1981: AS, very worn, possibly Hadrian, metal detected from near this site (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S2).
February 1984: AS of Domitian, found(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1). Also small bronze female head with iron attachment broken, from ? pin head/ knife handle, found (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) - see CRN .....
November 1990: Further grey ware & Samian pottery found (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
February 1991: Unusual brooch, triangular form, found metal detecting (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
