Full Description
Platform gun flint, leaf arrowhead, flaked axe and two polished stone axes in collection of (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). The leaf arrowhead and the flaked axe are probably recent `copies', although the flaked axe was actually a surface find in the playing fields area (?BRD 018) by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s).
The polished stone axes (see drawings) made of highly polished `greenstone' and a hard chalky material, both ingrained with soil, were from the collection of the late Herbert Edwards (the knapping family) and are also probably `copies'.
Note a similar stone axe, possibly manufactured by Frank Edwards - see BRD Misc Neo, CRN 09912.
Also see CRN 09914 for `ovate copy'.
