Full Description

Oct 1987: Fieldwalking for SE Suffolk survey by John Newman located pottery scatter in 180 x 120m area, in "field 594". Finds of 4 sherds Ipswich ware and 5 sherds Thetford type ware were identified although others may be present amongst the abraded `Rom' grey wares from the site. Probably Domesday vill of Bing/Byng (S1)(S2).
Also Rom, EMed and Med scatters.
