Full Description
March 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
Two possible ring ditches, a possible enclosure and a linear trackway are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1) on Barber’s Marsh, to the north of Henham Park, Wangford with Henham.
It is possible that the two sub-circular cropmarks may represent ring ditches relating to Bronze Age burial mounds, or that they are prehistoric circular enclosures and/or roundhouses. However, they are only visible on one set of photographs and have therefore been recorded with a note of caution since there are many geological features also showing as cropmarks in the field.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th March 2014.
