Full Description

Cropmarks of field boundaries or a possible incomplete enclosure of possible prehistoric date are visible in the grounds of Stutton Park, Stutton parish. These features could be associated with cropmarks visible 100m to the north-east (STU 009). The cropmarks form an incomplete enclosure or field system 142m by 102m, which is cut by a later field boundary. This possible enclosure or field system is similar to the features mapped in the adjacent field. There are also a series of short ditches to the north of the possible enclosure which overlay the trackway associated with STU 009. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), January 2015. (S1)
