Complex field system with trackways. Multiple rectangular overlapping field boundaries with a central trackway (NE-SW) branching E and W at S end (S1- S3). Altogether spread over a wide area E and NE of Chapel site, TAT 001.
Extensive cropmark complex of a field system along a trackway of prehistoric date, with further extensive field systems on different orientations of unknown date. The south section of the cropmark complex consists of a central sinuous trackway with multiple enclosures/fields adjoining it. Further extensive field boundaries/field systems transect the trackway and are presumably of a different date. To the north of this a straight trackway is visible for 488m with field boundaries adjoining it. This trackway is also transected by an extensive field system which is on a different orientation. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), January 2015. (S4-S6)
