Full Description

Cropmarks of a possible ring-ditch which may represent a ploughed out round barrow of Bronze Age date. The ring ditch is 29m in diameter with a central dark spot or pit which is 7m in diameter. Two further circular features are also visible, 6m and 20m to the north-east. On the oblique aerial photographs these features appear as ring-ditches, but on other photography they appear more like pits, 10m in diameter, and may not be of archaeological origin. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), March 2015. (S1-S4)
