Full Description

Cropmarks of two ring-ditches, which represent plough-out round barrows of Bronze Age date. The first ring ditch is 18m in diameter with no visible internal features and the second is 8m in diameter. They are located 15m to the south-west of two further round barrows (SLY 040 and SLY 041) and probably form part of a small barrow cemetery. The ring ditches are bisected by field boundaries presumed to be of a later date. Helen Saunders (Essex County Council), March 2015. (S1-S5)
