Full Description

Possible field boundaries and trackways of unknown date are visible as parchmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1976, centred on TM 24023896 to the south of Levington Hall. The linear ditched features appear to be arranged on a NNE-SSW and WNW-ESE alignment and continue into the field to the south of the road, location of a possible Medieval chapel and leper hospital (SNH 002). The features appear to be orientated slightly differently to the Post Medieval field boundaries (see LVT 047) and also appear to consist of narrower ditches. (S1) (S2)
Also see LVT 045 and LVT 046 for the nearby ring ditches. (S3)
