Watching brief on removal of burials from burial ground. Site piled, no evidence of any early archaeological activity. Two air raid shelters observed and one baptismal pool from the non conformist chapel on site.

Very large circular enclosure/ring ditch (circa 220m maximum diameter) with concentric rings.

One sherd Rom grey ware (mid C2 or later) located during rapid fieldwalking survey.

Rapid fieldwalking survey over part of cleared woodland block 4036, of circa 100m by 250m, with poor surface visibility, located relatively dense and widespread scatter of unpatinated worked flints, occasionally in small groups, and one burnt flint.

'Cross (1400)' hand notated and drawn on map at cited NGR (S1) - presumably information from Blythburgh Cartulary (S2). No further details.
