1969-1970: Fieldwalking survey by R Colchester located small EMed pottery scatter, considerable scatter of C13-C14, including glazed, and one iron flesh hook.

Un-named small [ancient?] woodland at Town Hill with perimeter banks and ditches.

Town Ditch, at least 18m wide and 4m deep at its lowest point. No evidence for the date of construction but likely to have been filled in during C13 or C14.
