Area of [ancient?] Woodland shown and named as 'Upper Wood' on the tithe map and apportionment. Now gone.

In Upper Wood Field, there are two sites marked and one in the field to the E.

Upright timbers (3 parallel rows) with horizontal timbers between two rows closest to bank. Corrugated iron/asbestos also set in with these horizontals. Runs along base of bank. Modern. E-W

1996: Metal detected IA(?) bronze object, worn and corroded, in form of near cylindrical rod, broader on one face which has curvilinear relief decoration.
