Full Description
?Rom figurine found metal detecting (find no. 2) on field 5182, Kiln Farm. Heavily corroded, 79mm long. Casting seam visible on back of head (S1)(S2). Votive bronze of the god Osiris with both a ring for suspension and a tang for fitting to base. Very common in Egypt from the Late Period (post 700 BC) through to Rom. This example probably late, i.e. Rom. Possibly Rom or recent import (S3). See photographs.
