Full Description

Scatter of worked flint found fieldwalking, including scrapers, knives and one small leaf-shaped arrowhead. A considerable amount of burnt flint was also noted.
1990: One polished flint axe fragment and miscellaneous flint flakes, details in (S3).
1991: Flint scraper 30x33mm. Flint tool fragment, pointed and triangular, bifacially worked, details in (S1).
2000: Bi-facially worked flint knife, tongue-shaped with a notch on one side. Traces of gloss suggest that it was originally hafted, the handle being secured to the blade with a binding seatd in the notch. Found by E Savery at TL 8657 7094, details in (S2).

Originally Bardwell parish but, since parish boundary changes, now in Stanton.
