Full Description

C13/C14 bronze shield shaped heraldic horse harness pendant with red enamel fesse between two chevrons gules. Could be for the Peche or Pechey family of Gt Thurlow, Stowlangtoft, Easton etc, but more likely to be of the Fitzwalter family of Shimpling. The Fitzwalters are known to have had an interest in Bacton parish (adjoins Old Newton) - see (R1). Further details in (S1).
