Full Description

Decorated socketed axe (S1).
1989: Grid reference cited in (S1,S2,S3), TL 782 700, corrected to spot marked with cross by Edwardson on pre-grid system, 6 inch record map (S2). Four rib (above & below lower of two 'mouth mouldings') with three pellet decoration (S4), cf, Arwarton Hoard (ARW 026) axe. Slight hammer marks on blade but in generally good & serviceable condition.
