Full Description
Scatter of pottery and metalwork found in land cultivated for nursery use. Pottery includes large fragments of Belgic forms and storage vessels and single sherds of Samian and mortarium. The pottery said to be from the NE side of the area, the coins from the SW part. Coins (nine) range from irregular Claudius I (AD 43-60) to Gratian (AD 378-383), 5 of them being Valentinian or Gratian. Also a Colchester derivative rear hook type brooch (S1). In or near the area described as `Stoneylands' (LMD 009), also near LMD 040. Also IA coin.
