Full Description

Late 1995/early 1996: Metal detector & surface finds of Med pottery (not seen), coins of Edward (I?) & Henry II (AD 1154-1189)(not seen), 2 strap ends and various other piecies of Med(?) & PMed metalwork (S1).
1997: Metal detected finds of 6 bronze mounts, Med or PMed and one other of unknown date. Details in (S2).
1998: Metal detected finds of 5 silver coins, 2 Henry III, Edward I and Edward III and one moneyer cut halfpenny, marked Ale[n?] possibly Alain of London. Details in (S2). Also 2 lead tokens, sketched in (S2), a gilded bronze object, possibly a harness mount fragment and a bronze vessel fragment and a gilded bronze strip.
1999: Further detector finds of harness pendant with arms of Ralph de Monthermer (note the moated site, FRK 004, is on Mortimer's Lane in Freckenham), Earl of Gloucester & Hertford, coins jetons and a ring brooch. Details in (S2). Also occasional Rom and PMed finds.
